Mary Turner taught history for many years and was an A-level examiner. Since going freelance, she has written widely on women’s history, nostalgia, family history and travel. Her articles have been published in The Lady, Yours, Practical Family History and Ancestors. 'The Women's Century: a celebration of changing roles 1900 -2000' is her first book.
